Dress Code
For the Dance Programs at Shooting Stars, we believe that following a few simple dress code rules
will be beneficial for all of our students. There are different guidelines for our “kids” program (5 &
under) and our “juniors” program (ages 6 & up). Should you have any questions regarding these
policies, please inquire with management.
All of our students should be in dance attire with proper footwear for the genre of dance that they are
studying. Please do NOT wear shoes into the dance studio that have been worn to school, outside on
the playground or in the sandbox.
To protect our flooring, you should have designated dance shoes (and sneakers for hip hop) that are
not worn outside, not even in the parking lot. Absolutely, no flip-flops, sandals or Ugg type boots can
be worn for dance class.
Hair should be pulled back neatly away from the face and secure so as not to present a safety hazard
when turning. Jewelry and accessories should not be a distraction.
The indoor playground at the “Center” is a shoe-free environment. Socks are required for all classes
held in that room in order to maintain our clean, “Safe Landings” Carpet system.
